It was another busy week at South with many things to celebrate.  Congratulations to our Saura Golf Team who placed 3rd in the NCHSAA 2-A State Championship in Pinehurst on Tuesday.  Our track team performed well in regionals on Friday and Saturday and our softball team advanced to the third round of the state playoffs and will take on Draughn this coming week.  On Saturday night, about 200 students enjoyed the Junior/Senior Prom.  Congratulations to our Prom King, Chase Tedder and Prom Queen Breanna Seagle!  Also this week, our own Mrs. Becky Patterson was names Stokes County's Teacher of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year!!  Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Patterson who is very deserving of this award.

Chromebooks for Exams and Roll-In
All students who have Chromebooks checked out from the school will need to bring them fully charged to all of their exams in June.  Students who do not bring their Chromebooks will have to make-up their exam on the make-up exam day.  Students may not take state exams on personal devices.  Students who did not check out a Chromebook will be provided a device on the day of their exam.  Students will need to turn in Chromebooks on the day of their last exam.  Failure to return a Chromebook will result in a $159 being added to the fees owed list.

Yearbook Reminder
If anyone wants to use a credit card to buy a yearbook, there is one week left to do so at www.yearbookforever.com. Online sales will end 5/20. Yearbooks will still be available at school after May 20, but you will need to use cash or check. We will be giving them out on Awards day, May 26.There are fewer than 50 books remaining and we anticipate that we will sell out. Order yours today to guarantee a copy!

SENIORS!
With less than a month until graduation, make sure you've taken care of all those last minute details.  Pay your fees and lunch charges, turn in your library books, get those invitations out to friends and family, make plans to attend graduation practices, and make sure your grades and attendance are what they need to be in order to meet graduation requirements.  Check out the Senior Page of the South Stokes website for dates and details.
