Saura Weekly Updates - April 15, 2018















It was an extremely busy week for the Sauras with Farm Animal Days, Art Extravaganza, Drill Competition, sports, and more.  





JROTC Drill Competition
Congratulations to the Marine Corps JROTC for winning 1st Place Overall at this weekend's drill competition in Mooresville.  Our cadets took home first place in unarmed platoon, unarmed squad, armed platoon, and varsity color guard; 2nd place in armed individual; and 3rd place in armed squad.  Great work, cadets!! 




Saura Arts

We had several of our students awarded scholarships from The Stokes County Arts Council Friday night at the High School Art Extravaganza!

Farm Animal Days - SUCCESS!
Thank you to Mrs. Roudabush, Ms. Young, and our agriculture students for a successful Farm Animal Days.  Students spent several days teaching hundreds of elementary and special needs students about farm animals, farm equipment, and agriculture in North Carolina.  If you weren't able to attend, be sure to check out our video and pictures on Facebook and Twitter to learn more!

AML Wrestling
The South Stokes Football program will be hosting a night of family friendly professional wrestling with the stars of AML Wrestling on Friday, May 18.  Doors open at 5:30 pm if you would like to meet the wrestlers and the first match begins at 7:00 pm in the South Stokes Gym.  Tickets are $13.00 and can be purchased in the main office.




Letter Jackets

Order forms for letter jackets are now available by clicking HERE or you may pick one up in the office.  Order forms and payment are due to school by April 27.  (The proof has a misspelling that will be corrected on the actual jackets.)


Yearbook Information
Be sure to get your 2017-2018 yearbook.  Your can purchase yearbooks online at yearbookforever.com or at school and the cost is $75.
