Our end of year celebrations began this week with our seniors visiting the South district elementary schools, the senior picnic, Awards Day, and Talent Show. Thank you to all of the friends and family who came out to enjoy some of these events with us. We are very proud of our Sauras and encourage you to watch social media and our re-designed website to keep up with all of their accomplishments. If you were not able to attend Awards Day, it was streamed live on Facebook and can be viewed there.
ExamsExams will begin on Friday, June 1, with one exam each day. Students will be dismissed around 12:30 pm once all testing is complete and lunch has been served. There are no early dismissals on exam days in order to prevent disruptions to testing, so please check your calendars now and make sure all appointments are scheduled after the exam period.
All exams count 20% of student's final grades. Most of our courses have required, state-mandated exams. A few courses have teacher-made exams (PE courses, Spanish courses, anatomy and physiology, and arts courses). All students are encouraged to come and take their exams, even if they are exempt. Exam grades for exempt students can only help grades, not negatively impact them. Students who do not take required exams may not get credit for their course. Attendance will be taken for all students on exam days and students who are not present will be counted absent.
Friday, June 1 - 1st Period Exams
Monday, June 4 - 2nd Period Exams
Tuesday, June 5 - 3rd Period Exams
Wednesday, June 6 - 4th Period Exams
Thursday, June 7 - Make-up Exams
Please note we will not be serving Second Chance Breakfast on exam days.
All students will need to bring FULLY CHARGED school-issued Chromebooks for all exams. Students who have not checked out a school Chromebook will need to check one out in the library on the morning of their exam. Exams cannot be taken on personal devices. We do not have many extra Chromebooks so students who have been issued a Chromebook who do not bring it for the exam will have to take the exam on the makeup day. Students will turn in their Chromebooks on the day of their last exam.
