Saura Weekly Updates - December 8, 2019

Grades & Attendance
We are now only about three weeks away from the end of the semester exams.  Grades should be updated in PowerSchool this week and we encourage you to check grades and attendance to make sure your child is making progress towards receiving credit for their coursework.  Please reach out to teachers if you would like to talk about your child's grade or how to help them beginning to prepare for exams.

Drivers Ed Registration
Registration for the next drivers ed class is now available.  The class will be held January 22 through February 4 from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm in the auditorium at South Stokes.  The class is open to students born on or before July 22, 2005.  Registration will close on January 8 and the class roster will be posted January 10.  Get all the details and register on the South Stokes DRIVERS ED PAGE.

Special Olympics Volunteers
Stokes County Special Olympics will be held at South Stokes on Friday, April 24.  We need lots of caring and responsible students to help with serving concessions, assisting young athletes and competitors, escorting teams, and more.  Students interested in participating should pick up an application and return it to the office as soon as possible.  Applications should be returned to the office by December 13.  For more information, see Mrs. Fouche, Mrs. Heather White, Ms. Gallimore, or Mrs. Cheek.
