Saura Weekly Updates - March 28, 2021

Plan A Updates

Thank you to all of our students and staff make this week of five-days-a-week in-person learning a success! Campus has a different feel with more students on campus and we are excited to finish out the year with more faces in our classrooms!

Please help us remind students that masks covering the nose and mouth are required on campus both inside and outside. We appreciate you helping us maintain as safe and respectful learning environment as possible!

Students who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed to a positive case, or who have been told to quarantine should not report to school and contact the Stokes County Health Department and the school office for information about a date to return to school.

Student Drivers
Student drivers may park in any parking spot until April 1 while we distribute and collect parking permit applications.  Try to park in the front lot if spaces are available.  Students will be assigned spots for after Spring Break.  Students requesting a parking permit should complete the Parking Permit Application online.  The parking permit fee will be waived this year, but students who have not paid the "It's My Call" fee ($5.50) will need to pay it in order to park on campus.  When students arrive at school, they should report to the main entrance if it is before 8:00 am or to their 1st period classroom beginning at 8:00 am.  Students who arrive at 8:30 am or after must report to the main office for screening before being admitted to classroom buildings.  Please help remind students they should not hang out in the parking lot during the morning and are not supposed to go to cars during the schools day.

Bus Transportation
Riders will need the NEW attestation form and mask to board the bus.  Students who may need bus transportation should call or email Mr. Tedder 336-994-2995 or so we can add these students to our routes and provide pick-up and drop-off times.

Other Reminders:
  • Breakfast (free for everyone) available in the cafeteria from 8:00-8:30 am.  Second chance breakfast will be available on the sidewalk near the library at 10:00 am.
  • Where to report when arriving at school (the main lobby will open at 7:30 am; report to 1st period beginning at 8:00 am)
  • Social distancing (don't gather in groups, maintain space between students)
