NC Beautiful Grant
On Friday we were privileged to have a visit from Steve Vacendak representing NC Beautiful who presented a check for $1,500 to our school.  The grant was written by Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Himmelspach, and Mrs. Dunn to build a large birdhouse that will be live streamed so students can study migratory patterns of birds.  The grant will also cover air quality flags to help students learn about air quality.  Students in several classes will be involved in building the birdhouse and using the information to both learn and teach others.  We are very appreciative to NC Beautiful and Duke Energy who helped fund the grant for this award.
