Saura Weekly Updates - December 2, 2018

This week was full of special events.

Congratulations to Mrs. Shiela Patterson who was named the Piedmont-Triad Teacher of the Year this past Monday!  Mrs. Patterson now goes on to compete for the North Carolina Teacher of the Year in February.   We are very excited for Mrs. Patterson and know she will represent our school, district and region well in the next round!

We'd like to say "Thank You" to Rod Cate, South Stokes graduate and author of "Get Back Up", for coming and sharing his story with our students on Friday.  Mr. Cate told his personal story a devastating injury in high school that changed his life forever.  His message to never give up was inspiring.  Thank you to Larry Hartle and Eddy McGee for their assistance in making this opportunity possible.
