Saura Weekly Updates - June 2, 2019

Exams are underway and will continue this week as we close out the school year.  In addition to end of year activities, we also have some meetings planned to prepare for 2019-2020.

Exams and Chromebooks
Students need to bring their fully-charged Chromebooks to exams each day.  They should turn them in for the summer on their last day of exams.

Exam Schedule
Monday, June 3 - 2nd period exams
Tuesday, June 4 - 3rd period exams
Wednesday, June 5 - 4th period exams
Thursday, June 6 - Make-up exams

Senior Information for Graduation
Seniors have been informed of graduation practice times and the need to pay all school fees before graduation.  Information about dress requirements for graduation, schedules, and more can be found on the Seniors page of the South Stokes website.

Graduation Information for Guests

Graduation is scheduled to be outside at the football stadium.  In the event of rain, all seniors will receive a limited number of tickets for family members to be able to enter the gym for the ceremony.  Only those with tickets will be allowed in the gym.  If the ceremony is indoors, classrooms will also be open for guests without tickets.  We plan to live stream graduation on Facebook from either location and a link will be on our website for family members and friends who are not able to attend.

Class of 2020 Meeting
Navigating the senior year can be challenging.  Current juniors and their families should make plans to attend a meeting on Tuesday, June 4 at 6:00 pm in the library.  Ms. Spargo will be discussing careers, college, college applications, and financial aid to help students and their families get a jump start on senior year.

Get Ready for Football!
The Sauras announced our new football coach this week!  Dave Diamont has been selected to lead the Sauras and is excited about the season ahead.  Students interested in playing or who would like to learn more should attend a meeting with the coaches on Thursday, June 6 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.  We encourage all students who are considering playing football and their parents/guardians attend this meeting.
