Senior Make-ups

Wednesday, October 21
Students were contacted with their appointment times.
(last day for seniors who did not have pictures made during the summer to be photographed for the yearbook)

Report Cards this Week
Report cards for first quarter will be available this week.  We will distribute report cards to "A" day students on Wednesday and "B" day students on Thursday.  Report cards for students working remotely will be available for pickup in the office beginning on Wednesday.  Any report cards not picked up this week will be mailed home the week of October 26.

First quarter grades account for 40% of course grades for this semester.  Many of our students have done very well, but others are struggling in some courses.  Please encourage students to attend each class, complete all assignments, and communicate with teachers when they need assistance.

College Application Weeks
College Application Weeks runs from October 19-October 30.  This is a great time for seniors to apply for college as many schools waive application fees during this time (list below).  Be sure to speak with Mrs. Sawyer or Ms. Dean if you need assistance with applying!

Yearbooks on Sale!
Yearbooks for the 2020-2021 school year are now on sale.  The price is $55.00.  You can purchase yearbooks at school or online.  The link can be found on the school website under Students, click on Order a Yearbook.  Also, information about senior ads is on the school website.  Ads will be due in December.

Yearbook Contest!
The theme of the 2020-2021 yearbook is "Break Free".  Students are encouraged to share their ideas through an essay contest.  Write up to three essays using the prompts below for inclusion in the yearbook.  Winners will receive $50 and runner up will win $30 with a winner and runner up selected for each prompt.

1. What makes you feel free?
2. What do you do in your free time?
3. Free to be you: what makes you unique?

Any work submitted may be featured in the 2020-2021 yearbook.  Essays should be no longer than 350-500 words and share essays with Alyssa Smith by November 24.
