Saura Weekly Updates - May 23, 2021

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our students' accomplishments at Awards Day on Friday!  We have many bright, talented individuals and it is always a pleasure to celebrate with them.  If you didn't get a chance to attend, you can watch the presentations online on the South Stokes YouTube channel.

Spring Exams 2021
Exams will be given May 25-June 1.  Students should make sure all Chromebook keys are working and report any technology issues to Mrs. Himmelspach or Mrs. Campbell.  State exams which include English 2, Math 1, Math 3, Biology, and many of our Career and Technical Education courses will be given on campus in person.  Teacher made exams will be delivered remotely.  School will dismiss at 12:20 pm on exam days.

All students should return school owned Chromebooks and hot spots to the school after they complete their final exam for the semester.

Senior Updates

Updated senior information for the rest of the year can be found in this handout.

Graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 28, 2021 at 7:00 pm!  Under the latest executive order we will be able to hold a live graduation outside at the football stadium with no limits on the number of individuals who may attend.  In the event of severe weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors which would be a ticketed event.  We plan to distribute 6 tickets to each graduate at the second required graduation practice for the indoor event.  All guests (including small children) will need a ticket to attend if the ceremony is moved indoors.  If outdoors, masks are encouraged when within six feet of individuals not in your household.  If indoors, masks continue to be required inside schools.

Graduation practices are scheduled for May 26 and 27.  Seniors MUST attend graduation practice to participate in the ceremony.  Seniors should make plans now to attend!
